Discover & realize the seed of potential you were born with.
This ancient, living calendar gives you a language for the authentic life path embodied in your birth day. My Q’ij turns that language into a personal, daily practice for recognizing this path yourself, so that, over time, you become your own guide.
How it works
The Practice
The Cholq’ij is the 260-day Maya sacred calendar: a living rhythm of 20 day signs and 13 numbers.
Living with the days is the path. It begins as another way of seeing time, then becomes a way to build from what you were born with. We translate that tradition slowly, so it can be lived rather than heard once.
Meet the day.
Read a teaching about the day’s nawal and tone. Take a moment to notice how it meets your life.
Get to know your Cross.
Your birth date reveals your Mayan Cross. Begin with the gifts and potential you were born with, and watch them unfold as you live day by day.
Record what you notice.
Write or speak a reflection in your journal. As the calendar turns, return to your own words and see what feels familiar, or different.
Navigate your cycles.
Move through the calendar, revisit earlier journal entries, and look ahead. Find when your birth nawal and number return together—your next Mayan birthday—and explore the days around that return.

Our Story
It started with a Substack. Thibaud, a software engineer studying the Maya Cosmovision, found Diana’s writing on the Cholq’ij in Walking the White Road. A conversation began, and then a collaboration: first a Mayan Cross calculator, then a calendar plugin that carried the sacred 260-day count into digital calendars. Then the idea sprouted: the Cholq’ij as a pocket companion.
Information was everywhere. Experience was rare. Diana and Thibaud created My Q’ij so you can live the wisdom of the sacred calendar, not just read about it.
They met in person in Guatemala. Diana later began formal training under Thibaud’s teacher, Tat Juan Carlos Romera Sales, an initiated Ajq’ij (Maya wisdom guide) who teaches the Maya traditions and calendrical systems through a comprehensive online school. In March of 2026, they founded White Road Labs to pioneer interactive digital tools for this tradition. My Q’ij is the first, rooted in the pre-Hispanic knowledge of the K’iche’ Maya.
Writer, Cholq’ij teacher, and in formal training toward initiation as an Ajq’ij. She develops the content, and the accuracy that keeps it faithful to the lineage it comes from.

Before you join
Do I need to know the Maya calendar?
No. This group is specifically for newcomers. Your questions will help us make the first experience clearer.
What will I be testing?
The free experience: meeting the day, beginning with your Essence and Potential, exploring the cycle, and keeping a journal. Selected testers will receive installation and feedback instructions.
What would you need from me?
Time to use My Q’ij each day during the testing period and share honest feedback about what works, what feels confusing, and what gets in the way. The follow-up form will help us check whether the timing works for you.
Is this the public launch?
Not yet. This is an early version of the app, available by invitation on iOS and Android, opening on 8 imox, October 30, 2026. We’ll confirm details by email.
Who can read my journal?
Your journal is stored on your device. White Road Labs does not operate a journal server or read your entries. Optional backups use your Apple iCloud or Google Drive. Read about privacy.
